Lightweight Stability

Pacer Tents use trekking poles (from conventional designs to the highly acclaimed Pacerpoles) to create a new breed of high-performance, lightweight tents for 4 season use. By using your poles for two functions, you can reduce the weight of the tent poles.

Pacer Tents have a unique wind shedding shape. We use custom connectors to join a pair of trekking poles into an “A” frame. This forms a rigid structure in the center of the tent with the highest point where you need maximum headroom.  End poles create a stable space at the ends of the tent for your feet and head, and extra storage space. The rigidity of trekking poles makes the tents able to stand stronger winds and heavier snow loads than tunnel tents with flexible poles. Catenary cut panels keep the fly taut in the wind. It’s a hummer, rather than a flapper. The excellent clearance between the inner and outer tent gives added security in storm conditions.

Silicon coated ripstop nylon fabrics give the strength. The PU inner coating with taped seams increase the waterproofing.  Siamese Twin vents, located at the tent peak encourage maximum cross ventilationto minimise condensation. 

Each model has an entrance vestibule and excellent storage space under the fly. A porch pole allows an extra covered area for cooking and extra protection for entry in wet conditions. The inner tent is insect proof.

Pacer Tents are flexible and versatile and can be used fly alone for the lighest weight, or as double-wall tents for insect protection and the greatest warmth. The stability, lightness. spaciousness and ventilation make each tent suitable for a wide range of weather conditions and all seasons.
